Milles soleils splendides- Khaled Hosseini (Lu: 8 août 2010)
Madame Bovary- Gustave Flaubert
Antigone- Jean Anouilh (Lu: 19 novembre 2010)
Les chutes- Joyce Carol Oates (Lu : 7 janvier 2011)

En tout cas bienvenue dans ce challenge. je suis ravie que tu aies trouvé des livres à ton goût. Cela me permet également de découvrir ton blog.

I intend to read Milles soleils splendides, it's in Slovenian, my sister got it as a present. She recommened it to me. I hope to have enough time this summer already! I'm sure you know how it is: once you own a book, you put in on the shelf and it waits to be read once you have read all the books from the library! (I've seen you list: 50% of books you own haven't been read, I have a stable condition of about 90% but of course smaller numbers as well. I have around 120 books.)
And a great news: my sister bought me A walk in the Woods by B. Bryson for a succesful end of high school. So you can look forward to getting it for a swap reading, eventually! Just don't know exactly when this is going to be! ;)
As for the letter, I swear it's like I'm being bewitched! I seriously started writing a week ago but stopped again. I truly am sorry! It will surely be mailed one day because it simply has to be. I can't support this no longer, believe me. I can't believe in what a big delay I am already and I'm not used to being in such position. But surely this last month should have been enough to get your "strenghts back" after the final exams, right? So there's no more excuses for my laziness, right?
I have no idea if what I just wrote makes any sense so you'll get everything explained in the letter.
So thanks for your penpal loyalty (it means a lot to me, few of my pals are like that), you can rely on me to get an answer as you already know. I'm just in some strange period with no letters whatsoever and maybe it depresses/effects me not getting a single letter in the last year and I'm not so keen writing one myself. But I'm slowly getting back to my old shape and everything will be okay. ;)
See (write) you soon

That's cool you also intend to read Mille soleils splendides, it makes us another book we'll be able to exchange our views on !
Oh, I'd love to get A Walk in the Woods ! It seems to be totally impossible to find it here !
And don't worry about the letter. If I am so comprehensive, it is because I am in the exact same position as you. My vacations started on May 1st and I still didn't write any letter because I just don't have the energy to...
But I'm quitting Telus tomorrow and hope to be able to write again soon.
So again, don't worry and I'll try to write an email soon !

That was the word I was looking for: energy. A total lack of energy. In my mind, I wish to write a letter so much but can't bring my body to actually do it!
But since I was able to write a page or two, I think it's going to get better one way or another. ;)
Yes, I've read on Facebook that you're quitting your job but I didn't quite understand your reasons. (My French is not perfect yet.) It is to help your parents, right? But that's all I could get from a quick reading.
Okay, looking forward to your email then (no rush involved). Take care*

Isa a dit…

If you don't mind, I'll explain the reasons of me quitting Telus in a letter ! And I'll also explain the reasons why not to quit... because I decided at the last minute that it was a wrong decision to leave !
Hope to be able to write the email soon !

Vesna a dit…

Of course, I had no intention of holding a serious conversation out here. I wrote here in the first place because I knew I'd get your answer right away. So it's even better than email to have a quick contact, right?
Maybe I haven't mentioned: I was ACCEPTED TO UNIVERSITY! (I have more than enough points, youpee!) I'm going to study translation; the full name is Slovenian-English-French Translations. ;)))
What do you think about that? Pretty cool, right? =)

Congratulations !
I'm sure you took the right decision to study translation. It just looks like the perfect program for you !
Write to you soon !
